The rapid growth of United Petroleum highlighted the need for a new website. United Petroleum wanted to communicate with multiple constituencies, support fast-moving campaigns, and allow on-the-go visitors to quickly find relevant content.
Websilk designed a solution where content is organised into one of five different categories. Each category is targeted at a particular audience, allowing United Petroleum to focus its communications for particular site users.
Site features include a custom-designed store locator and journey planner, that integrates with Google Maps. This feature allows visitors to find their local stores or use United Fuel throughout a trip. Given that United Petroleum is the dominant supplier of E85 fuel in Australia, it allows drivers who use this fuel to properly plan their journeys.
Journey planning can even be performed en route. United Petroleum’s website is designed to render well onto mobile devices, meaning that on-the-go travellers can quickly find where the next United Petroleum retail outlet is located.
The Sitefinity content management system supports daily editing of content, from fuel pricing through to product specials and banners.
While United Petroleum regularly manage their own web content, they are in frequent contact with Websilk regarding enhancements and campaigns.
